Food & Basic Needs

Morning Services offers a nutritious hot meal for all in the community, as well as a sack lunch take for later in the day. Community members in need of laundry and/or shower services are welcome to utilize the facilities available. 

Through regular meetings, individuals work to identify, prioritize, and build plans for long-term self-sufficiency.

Interfaith provides food boxes at our Escondido and Carlsbad locations. These boxes are available to clients on a needs-based system, including those who are actively case-managed as well as walk-up services, helping ensure that everyone has access to nutritious food.

Walk in hours:

Escondido: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., and the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Carlsbad: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Mail, phone, fax, and copy machines available at Escondido Headquarters: 550 W. Washington Ave., Escondido, CA 92025 and Carlsbad Service Center: 5731 Palmer Way, Suite A, Carlsbad, CA 92010. Must sign up prior to directing your mail. 

Housing navigation services available to assist households whose housing has been negatively impacted due to an unforeseen emergency.

Free tax preparation for low-income families and individuals, with a focus on providing Earned Income Tax Credit. 

Expert legal advice for individuals and families facing legal problems. Available Wednesdays. (Legal Aid Society of San Diego)

Case Managers assist clients with resume assistance, job interview skills, mock interview preparations, applications, etc.
