Thomas has been in TYA for 2 years Thomas is raised by a single mother and it has always been just the of them two. They receive no supports from his father. Thomas’s mom is a hard- working mother who has been working as a house cleaner. Thomas growing up would help mom clean houses as well during school breaks. Thomas mentioned that family is very important to him and during his free time he likes to hang out with his cousins. Thomas mentioned that their financial struggles growing up was one of the challenges throughout his high school experiences. Thomas mentioned he is focused on having good grades because he wanted to play on his school’s Varsity soccer team. Thomas’ goal after graduation is to go into higher education. At the moment Thomas has not decided on what to major but is focused into trying to get into a Cal State or a UC.
