Interfaith’s brand-new Family Shelter provides shelter and stability to up to 14 families at a time, the largest (and only 24-hour) family shelter in North San Diego County. Due to frequently changing clientele we are not able to provide individual stories, but instead have broken down the cost of specific client services that your donation will support:
$20 provides three meals per day for a family of 4
$120 per day provides meals and shelter for one person
$60 will purchase a cheerful child’s bedding set and a “welcome to your new home” toy

About Interfaith’s Family Shelter
Along with a quiet, comfortable environment, residents of North County’s newest family shelter will have access to:
3 meals per day
Shared laundry room
Outdoor playground
Indoor library and play area for younger children
Teen room with age-appropriate games and space
TV room
Computer lab
In addition, residents receive intensive case management support geared toward:
Housing and employment
Mental health services
Food/nutrition
Childcare and wellness
Family Shelter amenities will include a commercial kitchen, seven family-friendly individual bathrooms with shower, a dining area (capacity of 40), and large, private studio-story rooms for each family, rather than the more traditional congregate setting. The gated two-story property is surrounded by greenery and an inviting outdoor courtyard conducive to family living.
